Sculpture inspired by life - Three hour Introductory taster workshop
This introductory workshop at Chiswick Art School is a brilliant way to get a feel for working with clay to create a sculpture inspired by life. Each participant will have their own allocation of clay and will be carefully talked through the process by the tutor, with demonstrations. Whether you book for yourself, a couple or a group of friends, this is a social introduction to the joy of creating sculpture in clay.
You will learn how to prepare the clay, the tools and equipment which are used, how to work from observation and ways to develop your sculpture.
You can choose to work with air drying clay and take your work home with you, or clay to be glazed and fired, for which there is an additional charge according to weight.
This workshop is suitable for all levels - you do not need any previous experience of art or working with clay. Please wear old clothes or a washable apron.
